Why I Fell in Love with Insect Cross Stitch (And Maybe You Will Too)

Hi, my name is Liudmila — and I want to share a little story with you.

When I first started cross stitching, I was drawn to the usual — flowers, quotes, cozy scenes. But one day, while walking in the garden, I saw a bee land gently on a daisy. I watched it for a while — so tiny, yet so full of purpose. That moment sparked something in me.

I rushed home and started sketching a pattern. That’s how my very first bee design was born.

Since then, I’ve been obsessed (in a good way!) with turning the often-overlooked beauty of insects into charming and colorful embroidery. Bees, butterflies, moths — even beetles — they all carry their own story, their own style, their own energy.

🦋 Why insects?

Because they’re magical.
Because they’re alive.
Because they bring nature into your home in a way that’s playful, modern, and totally stitchable.

🧶 What makes my patterns special?
I design each one with care, using DMC threads, clear symbols, and layouts that are easy to follow whether you're a beginner or an experienced stitcher. I also include both black-and-white and color charts, so you can stitch the way you love most.

💛 Stitching is more than a hobby.
It’s a way to relax. To disconnect. To make something with your hands — something real. I hope my insect collection brings you as much joy as it brings me while designing it.
